RETREAT COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS and POLICIES
For the safety and sake of all of us, and our hosts, cooks, etc., we will maintain safety protocols against COVID-19.
Vaccination remains the best protection for avoiding COVID-related hospitalization, long-term health outcomes, and worse. We strongly recommend that you be up to date on your vaccinations and boosters. COVID vaccination is a recommendation, not a requirement.
- Please travel with at least one over-the-counter COVID test kit.
- Take all possible precautions during your travels.
- While masking is recommended to help slow the spread of COVID and other respiratory illnesses, each person will make her own decision regarding wearing masks during the retreat. Especially if you are unvaccinated or not up to date on your vaccinations, masking in public areas is strongly recommended.
- In case of illness and/or a medical emergency, we advise you to take care of yourself and others by staying home if you test positive for COVID, have a fever (99.5 degrees F or higher), shortness of breath, or other COVID symptoms, or have been in contact with someone with COVID in the last 7 days.
Payments will not be refunded. We strongly advise you to have health insurance, and purchase travel insurance for the trip (RoamRight is only one of many travel insurance providers) in case of COVID (or other exigencies). If you arrive ill or with a positive COVID test or you become ill with COVID during the retreat, we will not abandon you, and we will help you quarantine in the best possible way. This may mean relocating you to a local hotel (at your own expense). You will need to provide a negative antigen test before reentering Villa Emma.
If you experience a medical emergency during your stay, please notify Ericka immediately. She will work with our hosts to direct you to emergency personnel as needed.(Note that Biella has an excellent hospital!)
